Marciana Rego

Whenever Marciana Rego thinks about her life, whenever she makes balances or calculations between the what and what of her career, she comes to the same conclusion: Caixa Agrícola dos Açores determined almost everything she achieved professionally. In fact, he never considered having a job. For her, from the first minute, it was a project and a project never ends. There were hours to get in, but getting out was always more complicated, I left when I could, sometimes I even forgot that I needed to rest. Even on the weekend. Everyone won: Caixa, the people, the Azores and her. She felt fulfilled helping others.

Marciana was born in 1949, the youngest daughter in a family with eight siblings, four boys and four girls. He was born in the parish of Capelas, on the largest island of São Miguel. His family was large, happy and prosperous. He had a good childhood, with games, devotion to God and the Holy Spirit, and freedom. A freedom that she always used to do what she wanted in each moment, more than what others thought was best for her. She did not marry, had no children and dedicated herself to Caixa, the first woman in the Azores to work in a bank. His father, Mariano, was a merchant and owner of several grocery stores, an entrepreneur. So many years after her parents left, she continues to thank them for the opportunity to always think for herself.
