Massachusetts man arrested for threatening to kill Trump on social media

A man ended up arrested on Wednesday in Massachusetts for threatening to kill the american president Donald Trump on several occasions through Facebook, reported the state prosecutor’s office.

According to a statement from the prosecution, the suspect, Andrew Emerald, 45, published eight messages between May and July 2025 in which he threatened to kill or injure the US president, whom he described as a monster.

In his posts, he promised to pursue Trump to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida and “reduce it to ashes.”

The man was charged with eight counts of transmitting threatening communications between states, a crime that carries penalties of up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

In March, a Virginia man was sentenced to more than two years in prison for sending death threats to the president.

Trump suffered an assassination attempt in July 2024, when a man shot him at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
