Melania Trump boasts an android in the White House, he is able to speak

US first lady Melania Trump brought a surprise guest to a White House event on Wednesday: a walking, talking humanoid robot.

In place of her husband, President Donald Trump, the android “Figure 3” walked at her side at the opening of the global coalition summit “Shaping the Future Together.”

Melania Trump, 55, dedicated as first lady to the issues of artificial intelligence and digital environments, convened this forum on how to empower children through educational technology.

“Thank you, First Lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House,” the gray and black robot said, gesturing with his hands, in his brief opening remarks.

Then he left through the same place from which he had arrived.

There was applause at the event in the East Room of the White House, which brought together spouses of heads of state and government from all continents.

“It’s fair to say that you are my first humanoid, American-made guest at the White House,” Slovenia-born Melania said as she read a speech.

The former model, mother of the president’s youngest son, Barron, 20, went on to talk about how humanoid-based artificial intelligence will soon be used to educate children.

“Imagine a humanoid educator named Plato. Access to classical studies is now instantaneous,” he said. “Our children are expected to develop deep critical thinking and independent reasoning abilities.”

Melania Trump has adopted an increasingly public role

In recent months, Melania Trump has taken on an increasingly public role, having been an elusive presence in the White House at the start of her husband’s second term.

He has organized several events on AI and the protection of children on the internet.

But she has also undertaken several lucrative projects, including a documentary titled “Melania,” made through a multimillion-dollar deal with Amazon, and an AI-narrated audiobook of her memoirs.
