Melania Trump denies being a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and calls for hearings in the US Congress

The American first lady denied that she had any relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and stated that she was not one of his victims. In a statement to the press, without the right to questions, on Thursday, April 9, Melania Trump also urged Congress to hold public hearings so that victims can tell their stories under oath.

Melania Trump did not explain why she decided to speak out on this issue, which had practically fallen out of the spotlight in the wake of the war with Iran. However, the first lady’s statement should rekindle media and political interest in the case.

“The lies linking me to the shameful Jeffrey Epstein must end today,” said Melania Trump. “I am not a victim of Epstein,” he added, responding to what he saw as false slander against him and announcing that his lawyers are working to fight “baseless and baseless lies” regarding his links to the sex offender.

Donald Trump’s wife said she was not friends with Epstein and denied that he was the one who introduced her to the now US president, whom she met in 1998. Melania explained that she only met Epstein in 2000, at a party in the company of the man who would become her husband. “I never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal activities,” he said.

“Countless false images and statements about Epstein and I have been circulated on social media for years. Be careful what you believe,” he further warned. “The people who lie about me are devoid of ethics, humility and respect,” he added.
