The trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union was promulgated by the National Congress this week. Now the text should take around 60 days before it starts to take effect.
On the European side, it is still necessary for the national parliaments of all countries in the bloc to ratify the agreement, but the European Commission has already stated that it will begin a provisional application of the commercial terms. Collaborator Iara Lemos comments on Radar DN Brasil.
