This Saturday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that Mexico is the epicenter of the violence caused by drug cartels and that they fuel much of the bloodshed in Latin America.
“As part of our commitment to counteract the presence of cartels in the region, we must recognize that the epicenter of cartel violence is Mexico,” he said.

Likewise, after his statement he assured that Claudia Sheinbaum is “a very good person”, but that criminals continue to rule the country and must be eradicated to ensure the tranquility of Americans.
“We have to eradicate them, we have to put an end to them,” he added, “it is getting worse and it is the cartels who rule in Mexico,” he said.
Trump’s words were given within the framework of the inauguration of the Shield of the Americas Summit, an event that brings together right-wing leaders from the region and was not attended by representation from Mexico or Brazil.

“They are responsible for much of the killing and chaos and the United States Government will do whatever is necessary to defend our nation and protect our people,” the magnate added during his speech.
At the Summit, Donald Trump also announced the creation of a new coalition against cartels in America, which is a new military group made up of an alliance of 17 American countries to “destroy” the drug trafficking cartels on the continent.
