Given the effects that the heavy rains of recent days have left in various areas of the national territory and that favor the landslide and dispersion of hydrocarbons previously emanated in natural pools, PetrĂ³leos Mexicanos (Pemex) reported that it maintains permanent surveillance of its infrastructure to prevent risks.
In a statement, the Mexican state company indicated that the weather conditions generated pipeline containment losses, mainly in areas of the coast and north of Veracruz.
In this scenario, he indicated that Its technical staff responds immediately and in a coordinated manner to each of these events, using specialized equipment for the containment and recovery of hydrocarbons, as well as the installation of barriers and oleophilic cordons in the affected areas.
