The United States Secretary of War, Pete Hegsethaccused the former president Barack Obama to give money to Iran to finance military bases, weapons and bunkers under the nuclear deal.
During a press conference, Hegseth stated that Obama gave the money secretly and that the objectives they now destroy in the war in the Middle East are the product of said financing.

“Many of the Iranian factories and military bases that we are destroying today were paid for with the American cash that Obama secretly sent to Tehran, under the nuclear deal,” he said, sitting next to Trump.
He also stated, addressing the president, that the current operations against Iran are to correct the “very serious betrayal” by Barak Obor.
“Iran took our money, turned it into weapons, bunkers and ammunition to attack us… and now we are bombing and destroying all that,” he said.

At the same conference, the Secretary of War agreed with Trump by assuring that IIran lies about the ranges of its missiles in the war.

The official confirmed that his country is in negotiations with Iran and that he “welcomes and prays for an agreement,” but added that, in the meantime, “they are negotiating with bombs.”
