A man suspected of having murdered his own mother on the afternoon of Monday, March 23, in the parish of Água de Pena, in the municipality of Machico, is being sought by authorities on the island of Madeira.
According to the Madeira News Diarythe victim is a retired nurse, who was found by firefighters and PSP agents already dead, with deep wounds to the neck that may have been caused by the use of a bladed weapon.
The suspect, who is on the run, has a history of mental and psychological disorders and was admitted to Casa São João de Deus.
The Judiciary Police took charge of the investigation of this case.
