“Pending asylum applications double to nearly 8800”. This is the highlight of Public this Saturday, March 28th. According to the newspaper, delays in the transition from SEF to AIMA explain the increase in pending issues in the last two years. Last year, Portugal refused more than a thousand asylum requests.
