PSD can appeal to the Constitutional Court for 100% ‘lay-off’

The PSD admitted this Wednesday to go “to the last consequences” if it considers that the change, approved this day by the opposition, to the decree-law on the ‘lay-off’ violates the law, in implicit reference to the appeal to the Constitutional Court.

The topic was introduced in the fortnightly debate by the PSD parliamentary leader, Hugo Soares, after a BE proposal was approved in committee – with only PSD and IL voting against – which ensures that workers covered by the simplified ‘lay-off’ following the storms receive 100% of their gross salary up to three times the national minimum wage (instead of the two thirds predicted by the Government).

This parliamentary group will actually study all the consequences of the diploma approved today and we will not stop going to the last consequence if we think there is any violation of the law”, said Hugo Soares, after remembering that, in the past, a PS Government appealed to the Constitutional Court when it understood that the brake law was being violated by the opposition.

The PSD parliamentary leader criticized, in particular, the positions of PS and Chega, having been supported by the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, who had almost no time left in the debate.

It is very simple to summarize: what for the parties of this majority are red lines, for the direct relationship between the two main opposition parties it is a green line”accused the head of the Government.
