The elected mayor of Misantla, René Omar Jaénand his work team when they returned from delivering aid in the northern area of Veracruz.

The emecista explained that the alleged thieves took a truck, as well as photographic and cell phone equipment.

“It’s 11 at night and we’re in the the box of Totomoxtleon the highway that goes from the city of Veracruz to Tuxpan. Dismayed, a few moments ago an unpleasant incident happened to all of our team, we are here united and that is what characterizes us, partly fearful,” wrote the elected municipal president.

He specified that the support they had given to the northern area was donated mostly by the same citizens of Misantla who joined in to help the victims of the rains.

He indicated that he and his work team are fine and that they did not suffer any physical damage, so it was only material losses.

René Omar Jaén will take office next January 1, 2026after he won in the last elections of 2024.
