During the morning of this Monday, the head of the federal Executive indicated that Emergency attention will focus on opening roads, cleaning, health care, cleaning homes and the operation of drinking water systems.
He acknowledged that there are still communities that do not have a land crossing.

“We are working on four axes in the face of the emergency due to rains that occurred in our country. The first is attention to the emergency. “We are still working on responding to the emergency, there are still communities, localities that do not have the land crossing and we continue working, cleaning the homes and analyzing the recovery of communication.”said.
“This has to do with opening roads, cleaning streets, providing health care, cleaning homes, and drinking water systems. This is all part of the emergency. There are 52 thousand people who are working between the Armed Forces, the federal government, the state government and also many volunteers who have been working,” he explained.
Sheinbaum pointed out that the second axis will be the support of affected families, and among them, the census carried out by the Welfare Secretariat to provide economic support.
“The second thing is support for the affected families. We are going to present that today with the Secretary of Welfare (Ariadna Montiel). How are the censuses going and how are we going to support all the families that were affected by these rains?
The President mentioned that the third axis will be reconstruction, and among them, the reconstruction of homes, schools, clinics, but also, He highlighted the reconstruction of economic activity and localities.

“The third axis is reconstruction because it is not only about cleaning the roads or having provisional access to the bridges, we have to rebuild bridges, We have to return roads, we have to rebuild clinics, rebuild schools, and everything that has to do with clearing rivers, treatment plants, rebuilding homes and, finally, rebuilding the local economic activity,” the president emphasized.
The head of the federal Executive explained that the fourth axis will be the strengthening of the forecasting, warning and risk system, which includes the strengthening of Risk Atlases by state and by municipality.
He indicated that the National Coordination of Civil Protection has a scientific committee, which is being strengthened with scientists from the UNAM, the IPN, the Tecnológico de México, and from different centers of the Ministry of Science and Technology to strengthen the warning system, measurements, mathematical models, etc.
With the above, we seek to strengthen the Risk Atlases by state and by municipality, as well as the Digital Alerting that the Digital Transformation Agency is already working on, where just as earthquake alerts arrive on cell phones, it is done in case of hurricanes, or dam releases.
“It is about not only the National Meteorological alert reaching the governors’ office, the offices, the municipal offices, but also through the cell phone. Just as we already have it for earthquakes, direct warning can reach the communities”he mentioned.
