Sheinbaum Pardo traveled to Tamaulipaswhere he met with the governor Americo Villarreal to evaluate the growth of Pánuco River.
“At the moment it does not represent a risk. Monitoring continues and we remain vigilant to alert the population if necessary,” said the federal president.

He reiterated that will be alert in case there could be a rise in the level of the river.
Villarreal explained that the peak “It has already reached its maximum and is still not reflected in the lagoon area“: “The low-lying areas are alerted and the municipal presidents are working in a coordinated manner and having sufficient shelters and supplies in case there is a need to relocate the population.”
He highlighted that the overflights have detected damage and the river has overflowed in several lagoons that will mitigate the peak.
