This Saturday, Sporting remained in pursuit of leader FC Porto, winning 1-0, against Estrela da Amadora, in a game in the 29th round of the I Football League.
In Amadora, Daniel Bragança scored in the 59th minute for the ‘lions’, who on Wednesday face Arsenal in the return leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League, to which they start with a 1-0 deficit, and on Sunday they host Benfica, in the 30th round of the I League.
With one game less played, Sporting remains in second place, with 71 points, two less than leaders FC Porto, who visit Estoril Praia on Sunday, and five more than Benfica, third, who host Nacional, while Estrela da Amadora is 14th, with 28, equal with Santa Clara.
