Spotify subscription prices will increase on all US plans in 2026


Spotify is raising subscription prices in the US for the New Year.

The company announced the price increase on Thursday press releasewith the increase occurring over the course of the next month.

“Occasional pricing updates in our markets reflect the value Spotify brings, allowing us to continue to offer the best possible experience and benefit artists,” the company said in a statement.

According to the updated prices, each tariff will cost as follows:

  • Individual: $12.99 (up from $11.99)
  • Duo (two people): $18.99 (up from $16.99)
  • Family: $21.99 (up from $19.99)
  • Student: $6.99 (up from $5.99)

The company added that Premium subscribers in the US will receive an email detailing how these updates affect their specific accounts. Those interested in subscribing can view the latest prices at spotify.com/premium.

This is the third price increase in four years for Spotify in the U.S. The company last raised subscription rates in June 2024, following a previous increase in July 2023. Before 2023, the individual plan remained at the original launch price of $9.99/month since the service first launched in the U.S. in 2011.
