Last year, Impresa recorded profits of 1.2 million euros, a recovery compared to losses of 66.2 million euros in 2024, presenting “the best operational and net results since 2021”, according to a statement.
In the note, published by the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the owner of SIC and Expresso indicated that revenues were 181.8 million euros, a slight drop of 0.2% compared to the previous year.
“Excluding the non-recurring effect of compensation received and capital gains on the sale of shares, recurring revenues were 180.8 million euros in 2025 and 178.4 million euros in 2024, representing a growth of 1.4%”, he detailed, indicating that “this evolution reflects the solidity of the business base and the sustained growth of operational activity”.
EBITDA (profit before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization) reached R$18.8 million, an increase of 1.8% compared to the previous year.
According to Impresa, at the end of 2025, net interest-bearing debt was 126.9 million euros, a reduction of four million euros compared to 2024, “reversing the trend recorded in the two previous years”.
The group highlighted that “this evolution reflects the reinforcement of operational cash generation and confirms the discipline in debt management and the continuous strengthening of the financial structure”.
The television segment recorded revenues of 157 million euros, a slight decrease of 0.3%, with SIC ending the year with profits of 8.3 million euros, an increase of 74.7%, according to another statement from Impresa.
In turn, Opto “ended 2025 with 43,303 subscribers, reflecting growth compared to the previous year”.
On the other hand, Impresa Publishing’s revenues were 22.3 million euros, a drop of 4.9%.
“Expresso was the best-selling publication in Portugal for the ninth consecutive year, with an average of 83 thousand copies per edition, according to APCT data”, highlighted Impresa.
The “others” segment, which is part of InfoPortugal’s activity, recorded revenues worth 2.5 million euros in 2025, a growth of 79.5% compared to the previous year.
