Police in the United Kingdom announced that they managed to arrest a man suspected of running over pedestrians in a city in central England, where several people were seriously injured.
The police in the city of Derby, located about 200 kilometers north of London, published that around 9:30 p.m. (in the United Kingdom) a Suzuki Swift hit several people.

Paramedics treated the injured at the scene, before transferring them to a hospital for specialized care, without specifying the number of victims who suffered injuries.
The man detained aboard a vehicle and who according to authorities was involved in the incident, is around 30 years old.

While the investigations continue, the police called on witnesses to provide information to clarify the facts. This is in the preliminary phase and authorities do not give details about the motives or the possibility of an intentional attack.
