There were no direct contacts between the United States and Iran in recent days, but Egypt, Qatar and the United Kingdom They acted as intermediaries for the exchange of messages, according to sources.
Iran sets conditions for negotiations
Egypt and Qatar informed the United States and Israel that Iran is interested in starting negotiations, although under very strict conditions.
For its part, the United States established six conditions, from a suspension of the missile program for five years to the total suspension of uranium enrichment.

According to an article by Barak Ravid and Marc Caputo, published by the Axios portal, any agreement to end the war should include reopening the Strait of Hormuz, addressing Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium and also establishing a long-term agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, ballistic missiles and support for related groups in the region.
The publication also highlights that Iran has repeatedly rejected several of the demands presented by the US, in addition, leaders in Tehran point out that it is difficult to negotiate with a president who has participated in talks in the past only to suddenly bomb them.
