Turismo de Portugal opens vacancies for training immigrants with scholarships

Brazilian Tourism opens, this Wednesday, April 1st, registrations for the second edition of the Integrar para o Turismo program. The request for participation is onlineand unemployed or unemployed immigrants are the target audience for this measure. The goal this year is to train 1,000 professionals.

The deadline to express interest in the initiative is April 30, when the selection stage for students will begin, who must be over 18 years old. It is necessary to present “valid document proving regular situation in the national territory” and full-time availability to participate in classes and internship. It is also mandatory to prove, through a certificate, the absence of debts with the Federal Revenue and Social Security.

This program, which is in its second edition, includes classes in hotel and tourism schools in the country. After, It is necessary to work as an intern in companies in the sector, such as hotels and restaurants. Students and retirees cannot participate.

The duration will be six months. The first phase of training, in hotel and tourism schools, will take place from May to August. Between August and September, internships will take place. Then, until December, training continues, with internships that can extend until January.

The monthly grant, paid over three months, is R$537.13. The same amount is paid during the three months of internship. Assistance with uniforms, transportation and food is also offered, as well as personal accident insurance. According to the organizers, a committee will be created to monitor the program, in addition to personalized support for students.

In the first edition, more than 655 people were traineds. Of these, approximately 330 were hired by companies after the internship.
