Ukraine asks the US to pressure Moscow for a ceasefire to end the war

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andriï Sybiga, appealed this Wednesday, April 8, to Washington to pressure Moscow to guarantee a ceasefire and end more than four years of war in the country.

In a message published on the social network X, Andriï Sybiga considered that the ceasefire between the US and Iran, announced by US President Donald Trump, shows the success of “American firmness”.

“American firmness is bearing fruit. We believe it is time to demonstrate sufficient firmness to force Moscow into a ceasefire and end its war against Ukraine,” he said.

The United States and Iran reached a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday night, an hour before the end of the ultimatum given by Donald Trump, who threatened to destroy the country.
