A 70-year-old woman tragically lost her life on April 4, 2026 in the town of Maseni, after a domestic accident that has shocked both her community and users on social networks.
The victim, identified as Sarla Katiyar, was helping her grandson park an SUV-type vehicle at the family home when the incident occurred. According to police reports, the car, a Mahindra Thar, suddenly moved backwards allegedly due to the handbrake not being activated.
The unexpected movement of the vehicle caused the woman to be pinned against a wall, causing her serious injuries. Although she was taken to a hospital, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
