A moment of fun turned into a risky scene on Pantai Harapan Ammani beach, located in Pinrang, Indonesia, after a reckless maneuver caused a spectacular accident in front of tourists.
According to a video broadcast on social networks, a boat towing an inflatable known as a “donut boat” approached at high speed and too close to the shore. The action caused the inflatable to capsize suddenly just before hitting the ground.
The impact was immediate: the five occupants of the inflatable went ‘flying’ and fell directly onto the sand, and even against other visitors who were on the beach.
The incident, which occurred on March 31, left witnesses in a state of shock at the shocking nature of the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were no fatalities, however, three women required medical treatment.
Local authorities have not detailed so far whether there will be sanctions for the driver of the boat or the company responsible for the maneuver that caused the accident.
