If the 2000 peso bill existed, it would be a piece that would combine history, art and technology. In accordance with the conceptual design provided by the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) within the G family of banknotes, artificial intelligence recreates it as a work that celebrates the country’s literature and natural wealth.

On the obverse they would appear Octavio Paz and Rosario Castellanostwo of the most influential voices in Mexican literature of the 20th century. Its inclusion would symbolize the union between critical thinking and poetic sensitivity that marked an entire generation. The portraits would be accompanied by calligraphic fragments and reliefs that, under light, would reveal emblematic verses from both writers, reinforcing the idea that words also have value.

The reverse would show the agave landscape of Tequila, Jalisco, with the magueyero bat in full flight over an agave plantation, representing the balance between nature and tradition. The AI imagines it in greenish-blue tones and with iridescent details, where each reflection would remind us of the connection between the land and Mexican culture.

Its format would be slightly larger than the thousand peso bill, with differentiated textures to facilitate its recognition and more durable materials. It would incorporate transparent windows, dynamic threads and color-changing inks, elements that would make it virtually impossible to counterfeit.

Although the Bank of Mexico has not yet confirmed its issuance, artificial intelligence projects it as a tribute to contemporary Mexico: a country that honors its past, embraces innovation and recognizes that culture also has monetary value. Thus, more than a means of payment, this note would be a tangible symbol of national identity and literary pride.
