Will adults with INAPAM have a 50% discount on CFE electricity payments?
To date, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) does not offer any type of discount on the electricity bill for having the credential of the National Institute of Older Adults (INAPAM). Both institutions have confirmed on repeated occasions that there is no agreement that allows reductions to be applied in the payment of electrical service through this card.
Despite the constant circulation of rumors claiming discounts of up to 50%, these claims have been denied and classified as fraud. In February 2025, The CFE issued a public alert about scams that promoted these false benefits through apocryphal websites and social networks, with the intention of stealing personal or banking data.
For its part, in 2022 INAPAM also released an official statement in which it made it clear that its credential does not grant any advantage related to the electricity rate and that no agreement has been signed with the CFE in this regard.
