This Friday, March 20, Salomé Afonso failed to qualify for the 1500 meter final at the Short Track Athletics World Cup being held in the Polish city of Torun.
The Benfica athlete was sixth in her series, covering the distance in 4:13.16 minutes, the 11th best time of the qualifiers, which were fastest by Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom (4:10.66), Poland’s Klaudia Kazimiersk (4:11.33) and Kenya’s Susan Lokayo Ejore-Sanders (4:11.41).
