Autoridades detuvieron en Chiapas a 6 presuntos integrantes del Cártel de Sinaloa, a quienes les aseguraron armas, miles de cartuchos útiles y equipo táctico.


The six alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartel were arrested in Chiapas when they were traveling on a highway aboard a truck carrying an arsenal.

Mexico City, October 19 (However).- Authorities federal and state Chiapas they managed to arrest six alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartelto whom a dozen armasmiles from cartridges useful and equipment tactical.

According to the official report, security elements carrying out patrols on the stretch of road between Tapilula and Rayón, near the Las Cabañitas hotel, intercepted a Nissan Frontier truck that tried to flee when it noticed the presence of the uniformed officers.

On board said vehicle were six individuals who identified themselves as members of the Sinaloa Cartel, four of them of Mexican nationality and the other two of Guatemalan nationality.

As a result of this action, authorities seized 12 long goat horn-type weapons, 1,640 cartridges of caliber 7.62 caliber 5.56 x 40, two metal magazines with a capacity for 20 7.62 x 51 caliber cartridges, and a magazine with a capacity for 100 7.62 x 51 caliber cartridges.

Tactical equipment was also secured, which includes 12 ballistic vests with plates, two ballistic helmets, two khaki pants, two military green tunics, a bulldozer, and 220 flat metal tires.

The six alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartel detained on a highway in Chiapas were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to determine their legal status for the crimes in which they could be involved.

Elements of the State Preventive Guard of the SSP of Chiapas, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Army and the National Guard (GN) participated in the operation.
