To avoid unwanted flashbacks
Colonia with Festival.- The iconic Banda Machos announced this morning that it will not perform its emblematic song “La Culebra” during its presentation at Vive Latino, to avoid even more disorders within the festival.
The band, which since the 90s has been famous for causing fainting, ovations and the occasional conflict due to the euphoria of the crowd, decided to replace the classic with a more “calm” repertoire, which includes romantic ballads, sentimental corridos and a medley of moderate cumbias.

Banda Machos will not provoke memories in attendees
“We realized that every time we play ‘La Culebra’, people get out of control, so we better take it easy.”explained the vocalist after confirming the group’s participation in the event.
Although many followers of the band showed their excitement about returning to an important festival, this faded as soon as they clarified that they would not play their most symbolic song.
““We are concerned about the safety of our fans… and, well, the food stands,” tomanager Macho added.

Despite the bad news, the musicians clarified that they will play songs that encourage people, without ruling out the possibility of flying shoes or lost hats during the dance, but without touching on the banned topic that makes people have dangerous memories that not even dianetics can explain.
