The Budget Commission of this legislative chamber approved with 32 votes in favor, 11 against and zero abstentions its opinion on the budgetary impact of the initiative issued by the General Water Law, which reforms, adds and repeals various provisions of the National Water Law, presented by the President of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Merilyn Gómez Pozos, who chairs the aforementioned commission, assured that the approval of the General Water Law would not generate a budgetary impact for the federal budget, given that its provisions do not include the creation of administrative units, positions or new organizations, nor the establishment of new, qualitatively different powers for the State.

Deputy Cuauhtémoc Blanco was registered for a period of one year and six months in the National Registry of Persons Sanctioned in Matters of Gender-Based Political Violence of the National Electoral Institute (INE) for acts committed against former federal representative Juanita Guerra Mena. The determination against the Deputy was made by the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation on July 9.
