According to police authorities, the movement of all types of carts, trams, and non-motorized vehicles will be temporarily suspended on arterial roads leading to various bathing ghats, including Rani Rashmoni Avenue, Govt. Place East and West, Gostha Pal Sarani, Kshudiram Bose Road, Strand Road, Nimtala Ghat Street, Bagbazar Street, and several others.
Goods vehicles, including those connected with Chhath Puja, will not be allowed to ply in and around Victoria Memorial Hall and adjoining areas such as AJC Bose Road (between D L Khan Road and Cathedral Road), Hospital Road, Queensway, Cathedral Road, Casuarina Avenue, and Lovers Lane. Movement of goods vehicles not related to Chhath Puja will be prohibited within city limits during the restricted hours. Emergency vehicles carrying essential commodities such as LPG, fuel, milk, medicines, vegetables, and oxygen are exempt.
Parking, loading, and unloading of vehicles will be prohibited on major thoroughfares including Dufferin Road, Beadon Street, Bidhan Sarani, Esplanade Row East and West, Mayo Road, Red Road, Kingsway, Sovabazar Street, Strand Road, and several others listed by the police.

Vehicles not connected with Chhath Puja will face entry restrictions on roads such as Beadon Street, Nimtala Ghat Street, and Strand Bank Road. However, vehicles connected with the festival will be permitted to park at designated locations including Maharshi Debendra Road, Strand Road North, and certain stretches of Strand Bank Road, Bagbazar Durga Puja field, and Maidan parking areas. Traffic diversions and one-way arrangements will be implemented on roads such as Sovabazar Street, Beadon Street, Nimtala Ghat Street, Durga Charan Banerjee Street, and Strand Road (North) from specified hours. Depending on real-time conditions, Kolkata Police may also regulate or divert vehicular movement from arterial or feeder roads as required. Certain roads, including Park Street, AJC Bose Flyover, MAA Flyover, Ballygunge Circular Road, and E.M. Bypass (except the Chingrihata–Metropolitan stretch), will remain closed to Chhath Puja-related vehicles. Vehicles will also not be allowed on Kalighat Bridge and Zeerut Bridge due to height restrictions.
The traffic regulations will remain in effect during the specified dates and hours in addition to any normal restrictions that do not conflict with this order, as per Kolkata Police.
