Mexico City, October 17 (However).- The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) announced this Friday that one of the alleged persons involved in the company case Black Wallstreetidentified as JoséR“, was linked to process for the crimes of organized crime y operations with resources of illicit origin.

In a statementthe agency detailed that in July 2022 it opened a folder of investigation following a complaint filed by the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) against several people linked to the financial company, which would allegedly be related to the Cali Cartel.

As a result of the investigations carried out by the Security Cabinet regarding this case, elements of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), in coordination with agents of the FGR, carried out the arrest of José “R” in the Obrera neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc Mayor’s Office, in Mexico City (CdMx).

After being arrested, the accused was presented before a Judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the State of Mexico, residing in Almoloya de Juárez, who endorsed the evidence presented by the Federal Public Ministry and issued the link to proceedings for organized crime and operations with resources of illicit origin.

In addition, the judicial authority imposed the precautionary measure of informal preventive detention, so the accused must remain confined in the El Altiplano prison; It also established a period of four months for the complementary investigation to be carried out.

José “R” is identified as the authorized signatory of Novedades Nova, a company that allegedly collaborated with Black Wall Street to launder money that supposedly came from criminal organizations, such as the Cali Cartel.

Mexican authorities accuse Black Wallstreet of money laundering

The Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) of the CdMx revealed in June 2023 that seven reports were found for unusual million-dollar transfers made by the company Black Wallstreet Capital between 2018 and 2022, which evidenced a possible scheme of operations with resources of illicit origin, known as money laundering.

As a result of the investigation carried out by the capital authorities in collaboration with foreign agencies, it was discovered that the financier maintained financial operations with a company linked to Liliana María “N”, romantic partner of Eduardo Fernando “N”, identified financial operator of the Cali Cartel.

In addition, it was revealed that the investigated company carried out million-dollar international transactions and that it possibly operated with ghost companies identified by the Tax Administration Service (SAT).

As a result of the investigation initiated by Mexican authorities regarding the Black Wall Street case, the company’s main shareholder, Juan Carlos “N”, was accused of the crime of operations with resources of illicit origin and linked to a process in May 2025, for which he is currently imprisoned in the Altiplano prison.
