PROGRESO.— A motorcyclist ended up with serious injuries for not taking due precaution, so he collided with a trailer.
The events occurred the night before last around 10 at the intersection of streets 33 and 46, the latter being a road enabled for heavy units to access the port and go to the Administration of the National Port System (Asipona).
Both the motorcyclist and the heavy vehicle were traveling on 46th Street from south to north, but upon reaching the intersection of 33rd Street, the trailer driver made his mandatory stop.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was allegedly traveling at excess speed and did not respect the regulatory distance between vehicles, could not avoid a direct collision with the rear of the unit.
The young man fell to the ground with everything and motorcycle, and suffered serious injuries, including some fractures. Even his face was bloody.
Neighbors in the area came to see what had happened and called the authorities, as well as the relatives of the injured person to help him.
