One Piece Season 2 Showrunner Change
Joseph E. Tracz takes over as showrunner from Steven Maeda. Maeda will remain as an executive producer. Tracz previously worked on Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and Dash & Lily.
One Piece Season 2 Story Arcs
The next season follows the Straw Hat Pirates into the Grand Line. Before reaching Reverse Mountain, they will stop at Loguetown, the place where Gol D. Roger was executed.
In August 2024, Netflix, Tomorrow Studios, and Oda confirmed that Season 2 will adapt chapters 96–154 of the manga. The Arabasta Arc will not be included, saving it for a potential Season 3.

One Piece Season 2 Filming and Production
Filming began on June 24, 2024. Production lasted seven months, wrapping in February 2025. Netflix confirmed completion with a photo and message: “Season 2 production has officially wrapped, and the Grand Line is fast approaching.”
Writers include Matt Owens and Ian Stokes, with episode 201 titled The Beginning and The End. Emma Sullivan returns as supervising director.

While early reports suggested a Christmas 2025 release, official confirmation at Netflix TUDUM announced that One Piece Season 2 will arrive in 2026.
Will There Be a One Piece Season 3?
