La derecha mexicana estará conmovida. Su gran esperanza es Donald Trump y esas marchas no son buena señal.

On Sunday morning, almost none of the major American newspapers had it on the front page. Nearly three thousand cities were mobilized. There were almost seven million people marching in the “No King” against Donald Trump. What is the United States press playing at? In my opinion, it plays what conservatism always plays. He is scared of people who march. He is afraid of crowds that demand something. They have no confidence in what in other countries we simply call the people. And it’s curious because even The New York Timeswho calls himself progressive when it suits him but cannot handle the word “genocide,” erased Saturday’s historic mobilization.

Seven million do not hide so easily. Throughout Sunday morning, the most read news on The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal y The New York Times were the marches. They weren’t on the cover, but they did top the most read list, which is not managed by an editor, but by an algorithm. On Saturday, when millions of American citizens were doing their part to contain a guy who has gotten out of control (in a country that makes good use of those who get out of control and steal everything from oil to minerals), the newspapers hid the news that was leading in other parts of the world.

Nobody be surprised. The traditional press is in crisis globally. And there is no worse blind than the one who does not want to see: millions prefer MrBeast, whose name is Jimmy Donaldson, who CNN. MrBeast is 27 years old and has a fortune of one billion dollars until 2025, thanks to public acceptance. He entertains, astonishes and gets rich by wasting everyone’s time. But for many that is better than Fox News. I understand them.

Even though the American press barely covered the mobilizations in almost three thousand cities, the anti-Trump movement is there. And it grows. Those seven million are two million more than the “No Kings” demonstrations in June of this year. On July 1, the President of the United States had 50.3 percent disapproval to 46.5 percent approval; 3.8 percentage points against. On Friday he had 51.6 percent disapproval to 45.6 percent approval. 6.2 points against and that has been improving for two weeks.

But what about the Democrats? Where is the organized opposition force? What does supposed progressivism play? In my opinion, it plays what conservatism always plays. Democrats love white Congress, mostly white governors. They love the low-paid work of migrants, just as they used to take advantage of slavery. Democrats are good with ICE, the wall, almost all of Trump’s racial policies because they are the same. They expect him to do their dirty work and then they will complain about him for votes. Maybe the progressives of the United States will put up an Afro-descendant or Hispanic presidential candidate; a new Barack Obama – the whitest black – to continue with the deportations.

The Mexican right will be moved. Their great hope is Donald Trump and those marches are not a good sign. I mean, yes, the PAN has already changed the logo and the poor devils of “Alito”, Verástegui, Téllez and Acosta Naranjo are there; the journalists, intellectuals, academics and businessmen who live dreaming of the return of another Enrique Peña or even a Felipe Calderón, who turned out to be good at drinking but also at stealing votes. Salinas Pliego launches insults (especially towards women) that are increasingly rude and desperate.

But the truth is, their only true hope is for Trump to rescue them. Let him put his hands in Mexico. Let him launch some missiles here, let him invade us. That’s what the Mexican right wants, but they don’t have high hopes.

There were millions of people marching against Trump and that force only grows. Pity for the PRI and PAN members, libertarians and Trumpist sympathizers in Mexico. In fact, pity for María Corina Machado, Javier Milei and others who have anchored their hope in Trump, the fascist king.

Cry for you, Argentina

When Argentina wakes up, and I hope soon, it will realize that the idiot it has for a President has already put it in debt like no one else, in just a few months. Until now, as I write this text, it has compromised the future of between five and seven generations of Argentines. It is not clear how much foreign debt this clown has incurred, but it is over $100 billion. The last 20 billion were conditioned by Donald Trump to Javier Milei winning the elections next Sunday, but most analysts know that he will give it to him, regardless of what happens, and even if it is a donkey with a debit card, he will deposit it because all the money he has already invested can be lost suddenly.

Donald Trump’s Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, announced an investment fund with private banks to give $20 billion to Milei for sovereign debt, that is, to guarantee that it has the means to pay interest to those who lent it. Previously, Bessent himself had announced a coin exchange (known as swap) for 20 billion dollars. And before, in April, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) offered Milei 60 billion dollars. These are accounts that come from numbers that have been aired so far this year, with open sources. It is debt propped up by the United States. It’s a real fortune.

The thing is that Argentina doesn’t keep any of all that money; It is not to build a hospital, pay a salary, save for the future, provide for retirees. It is, exclusively, money to keep the country’s finances afloat; so that the few capitals that remain there do not flee.

No one is able to say how much more money Milei will need between now and 2027, when the Argentine presidential elections are held. Anyone who dares to calculate will do wrong, because the rescue of that country does not depend on Milei: it depends directly on Trump. Furthermore, because it is a financial rescue that clings tooth and nail to variables and intangibles: if investors see the future, they will put money in; If they see risk, they will inject instability and instability requires more money. The 100 billion dollars they have lent Milei so far is a bucket of powdered gelatin: it’s worthless if you throw it into the murky waters of a river, but it can curdle a medium-sized swimming pool. Bad, Argentina. Very badly.

Milei is a walking catastrophe. Milei is a time bomb holding on to another time bomb: Trump. Milei will cause pain to her people. And it is the model promoted by the tax debtor Ricardo Salinas Pliego and his employees (such as Sergio Sarmiento and others); the model promoted by PAN and PRI. There is no worse blind person than the one who does not want to see: the man will leave Argentina in ruins and take a plane escorted by the CIA to Miami, where he will settle while others pay the “ransom” for those above. Nobody be surprised by Milei: Ernesto Zedillo, idol of the Mexican right, did something very similar in Mexico.

The most beloved worm

“Today I spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and thanked him for his warm congratulations to the people of Venezuela on our 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.”

To the people of Venezuela for our prize? Facing the world, Corina Machado lied in her tweet last Friday. The award was dedicated to Donald Trump, not to his people.

“We Venezuelans deeply value peace and know that achieving it requires immense courage, strength and moral clarity to oppose the totalitarian forces that oppose us,” Ms. Machado says in a letter to Netanyahu. Later he adds: “We hope that the full implementation of President Trump’s visionary plan will contribute to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.” And then he concludes: “Ultimately, peace requires freedom, and freedom requires courage and strength.”

The Nobel Peace Prize winner openly calls for a military invasion of her country to bring her to power. It doesn’t matter if it is headed by the genocidal Netanyahu or Trump. He doesn’t care. Applauds a military intervention on sovereign soil.

He had previously asked the US army to come in to overthrow Nicolás Maduro and last May he expressed: “Western democracies have to understand that a criminal regime will only come out of power in the face of the credible, imminent and severe threat of the use of force.” He had previously asked the genocide of Israel, the father of the Palestinian holocaust, to support an intervention force. “Today I want to ask Israel and Argentina to contribute their expertise and influence to move towards accurate and urgent decision-making in the United Nations Security Council,” he asked in a fascist letter from 2018, sent to Mauricio Macri, then President of Argentina, and Netanyahu.

Corina is a walking catastrophe. Corina is a time bomb holding on to another time bomb: Trump. Corina will cause pain to her people. And she is the democrat and libertarian who is applauded by a broad spectrum of Mexicans, ranging from Cecilia Soto (the Salinista who was a presidential candidate) to Salinas Pliego; from Chumel Torres to Enrique Krauze; from Lilly Téllez to everyone staff of newspaper collaborators Reform, The Universal, The Countryetc. No one should be surprised by Corina Machado: the right has done something very similar in Mexico since President Andrés Manuel López Obrador took office and right now, with President Claudia Sheinbaum: they are crying out for an invasion or, at least, a round of missiles.

And there is no worse blind than the one who does not want to see: the lady will leave Venezuela in ruins and take a plane escorted by the CIA to Miami, where she will settle while others stay to watch how the United States steals the largest proven oil reserves in the world: nearly 303 billion barrels.

No one should be surprised at her: the presidents of PRI and PAN did something very similar during the last 50 years.
