With the aim of supervising the support tasks for families affected by the rains, President Claudia Sheinbaum traveled to Hidalgo to attend to the emergency together with Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar.
Mexico City, October 18 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo traveled this afternoon to the state of Hidalgo, with the objective of supervising the work carried out to help the population affected by the rains recorded last week, which caused severe floods y landslides.
Through social networks, the federal president reported that, together with Governor of the entity, Julio Menchaca Salazarled a meeting to review the progress of the work that the Secretary of the Navy (Semar)the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT)the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and other agencies carry out in the affected areas.
“Together with President Claudia Sheinbaumwe follow up on the monitoring and evaluation of the actions implemented in the affected municipalities to care for families.“, indicated the Governor of Hidalgo in a publication that he shared through the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Previously, the state president himself announced the beginning of the day of supervision and support for families that he began together with Sheinbaum at the collection center installed at the Juan Guillermo Villasana Airport.
Likewise, through the official networks of the Government of Hidalgo, both leaders reviewed the work of the airlift that was implemented in the entity to provide assistance to the areas that were cut off due to the landslides that occurred on highways and roads.
“This effort is the result of joint work between the three levels of government, civil society and citizens, who with solidarity contribute with supplies,” said the Hidalgo Government.
