The letter containing the bomb threat at UNAM High School 7 was signed by “people who want to harm.”
Mexico City, October 20 (However).- The Prepa 7 of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) was evicted this Monday due to a new bomb threat; It is the second time that the evacuation of the campus has been ordered in less than a week.
Due to the warning of a possible attackthe academic authorities ordered students, teachers y personal to leave the facilities, while elements of the Heroic Fire Department of the Mexico City (CdMx) arrived at the scene to carry out an inspection in search of explosive devices.
A handwritten letter circulates on social networks that was supposedly used to warn about the attack against the National Preparatory School number 7 “Ezequiel A. Chávez”, located in the Merced Balbuena neighborhood of the Venustiano Carranza Mayor’s Office.
This document is addressed to the student community of High School 7 from “a group of people who want to harm them,” who claim that they hid six bombs on campus.
“Community of High School 7. We are a group of people who are willing to harm you. We hid six bombs in strategic points. Let’s play a game. Do you think you find my bombs? We’re all leaving,” the letter says
Videos and photographs circulating on the Internet show the moment in which students, teachers and campus staff are evacuated due to the new bomb threat, a situation that also generated alarm among mothers and fathers.

So far, authorities from UNAM High School 7 have not issued an official statement regarding the eviction of the campus and until when activities will be suspended.
This is the second time in less than a week that this school has been evacuated due to a bomb threat, the first occasion occurring on Tuesday, October 14.
In recent weeks, different threats related to explosive devices have been registered on UNAM campuses, which caused the evacuation of different campuses, such as PRepa 3, PRepa 8 and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FCPyS).
