He Government of Mexico has reported that, at least, 47 people have died and 38 are missing, after the heavy rains that hit the country in recent days, leaving thousands of victims and serious damage in more than 150 municipalities due to the serious flooding and landslides.
According to the latest report from the National Civil Protection Coordination (CNPC), the 47 deaths were notified by the governments of the central states of Hidalgo (16), Puebla (12), Querétaro (1), and the eastern state of Veracruz (18).
In addition, the CNPC reported 38 people not located in the states of Hidalgo (17), Puebla (15) and Veracruz (6).

“The Government of Mexico expresses its solidarity with the affected families and maintains comprehensive support and accompaniment actions, in order to guarantee that they receive the attention and resources necessary in this process,” said the authority.
The Government also updated the count of affected municipalities, which total 150, in the states of Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Querétaro and San Luis Potosí (center).
More than 45,000 houses affected
In Veracruzthe CNPC registered 70 affected municipalities, with 29,267 homes with damage and the provision of 50 temporary shelters for 2,871 victims.
Furthermore, there are 81 isolated locations in six municipalities of Veracruz, with approximately 537 inhabitants.
In Puebla, 38 municipalities were reported with major damage, 16,000 homes damaged and five shelters enabled for 691 victims, in addition to 91 isolated locations in 17 municipalities.
In Hidalgo, There are 22 municipalities affected, with 74 isolated localities in 21 of them, in addition to 1,217 homes damaged and 15 temporary shelters with 403 people.
In Queretaroeight affected municipalities were reported, with a locality of 600 people isolated, as well as 150 damaged homes and eight temporary shelters for 48 people.

and in San Luis Potosi, There are 12 affected municipalities, with 12 affected localities in two of them, where around 2,215 people live; in addition to 1,559 homes with damage and a shelter enabled.
The Mexican Government specified in the statement that the heavy rainfall that hit the country from October 6 to 9, was mainly caused by the Tropical Disturbance 90-E.
