Russia has systematically attacked Ukrainian gas and electricity infrastructure in recent days. However, the biggest attack came a week ago when Moscow launched dozens of drones and 35 missiles, several of them intercepted by the air defense, against the gas infrastructure in the regions of Poltava, Sumi, Dnipopetrovsk, Odessa, Chernigov y Kiev.

Following this attack, the largest since the start of the war on February 24, 2022, several facilities were severely damaged to the point that 60% of Ukraine’s domestic gas production was destroyed.

In fact, Ukraine is already a victim before the winter of another systematic Russian bombing campaign against its electricity generation and transmission capabilities, like those that in other phases of the war forced kyiv to introduce scheduled supply cuts throughout the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine will respond to these Russian attacks and has ordered to increase Ukrainian capabilities to strike the enemy at long range.
