This is a week in which the word freedom stands out. The freedom of expression and information to which Francisco Pinto Balsemão dedicated his life. With it, Expresso’s slogan was created: “Freedom to Think”, without ties to political correctness, but also without ever giving up on a passionate defense of the values ​​of Democracy.

He began defending free journalism during the dictatorship and remained so until the last day of his life. Francisco Pinto Balsemão died on October 21st at the age of 88.
