VIDEO | Young Oaxaqueño creates “Encuéntrame 72”: A facial recognition system that changes people’s habits

The crisis of disappearances in Mexico found a light of hope in the genius of youth. Jesús Alejandro Jiménez López, originally from Zanatepec and studying in the sixth semester at the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario (CBTA) 158, developed “Encuéntrame 72”, a cutting-edge system based on biometric data and facial recognition that allows locating people who are not traveling.

EL ORIGEN: UNA PROMESA DE AMISTAD

The project was not born in a conventional laboratory, without pain and loyalty. After the disappearance of a friend looking for the 2023 finale, Jesus decided to channel his frustration into a technological solution.

“The first three days (72 hours) are crucial for placement, after this time the possibility of survival decreases dramatically,” explains the young designer. Here is the name of your system: Encuéntrame 72.

HOW DOES ENCUÉNTRAME 72 WORK?

The system uses advanced algorithms to process images of victims and create a map of biometric data. These unique properties are stored in an intelligent database that enables quick identification in real-world environments.

Main features:
  • Biometric Map: Identify unique facial features that do not change with time or camera angle.
Aircraft:
  • Integration with C5: The software is designed to be compatible with security cameras (C5) across the country.
  • Emergency protocol: It can be integrated into national protocols, working similarly to Amber Alert, but with the ability to analyze video in real time.

FROM OAXACA FOR THE WORLD: EXITO INTERNACIONAL

The impact of this hardware has surpassed you. Recently, “Encuéntrame 72” was held for the first time at an international science fair in Peru, highlighting projects from across the continent. After this triumph, Jesus Alejandro is going to present his innovation in Spain and bring Mexican talent to Europe.

For its creators, the ultimate goal goes even further than the prices: it is about offering a real and technological alternative that gives hope to thousands of families who continue to search for their questioning evenings.

PULSER FOR REDUCING ANXIETY

Also from CBTa 158, Yauline Velásquez Fuentes presented an innovative project, recognized in Peru, to create an anti-anxiety pulse, which she called the “Peaceband” or peace belt, which dissolves the condition in just three minutes.

BUSCAN APOYO FOR IR IN SPAIN

Hoping to give their projects more momentum, the young students are looking for funding to travel to Granada, Spain.

“We hope for it, there is nothing simple about it, few people believe in education, we don’t have much help, but we try to work for it with the help of our fathers and teachers,” they said in an interview with Istmo Press.

Those interested in supporting these late graduates can visit the Facebook page: “Innovate CBTA” where they have created a campaign titled “Every Weight You Gain, Help CBTA Alumni, 158”. In this space you will find the donation account number.
