Eberechi Eze scored 3 goals (a hat-trick), leading his Arsenal team to strengthen its position at the top of the English Premier League standings, following its sweeping 4-1 victory over its guest, Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday in the top 12 matches of the competition.

At the Emirates Stadium, which hosted the North London derby, Belgian Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 36th minute, and Eze added the second and third goals in the 41st and 46th minutes, respectively.

Brazilian Richarlison reduced the gap after scoring a stunning goal for Tottenham in the 55th minute, but Eze continued scoring and scored his third goal and Arsenal’s fourth goal in the 76th minute, leading the Gunners to return to the path of victories, which they lost in the last stage, before the period of the last international matches.

Arsenal’s winning streak, which continued during 10 consecutive matches in all tournaments, including 8 consecutive matches with clean sheets, was halted after its positive 2-2 draw with host Sunderland, in the 11th round of the tournament.

This great victory comes to give Arsenal a huge morale boost before its upcoming match against its German guest, Bayern Munich, next Wednesday, in the Champions League.

Arsenal, which achieved its ninth victory in the tournament this season against two draws and one loss, raised its score to 29 points, soaring to the top of the tournament standings, which it seeks to regain the title that it has been missing since the 2003-2004 season, ahead by 6 points over its closest rival Chelsea, with whom it will meet at Stamford Bridge in the summit of the matches of the next round of the tournament.

On the other hand, Tottenham’s balance, which suffered its fourth loss in the competition this season compared to 5 wins and 3 draws, stopped at 18 points in ninth place temporarily until the rest of the matches of that stage ended.
