A former official of the Edomex Administrative Justice Court was arrested for breach of trust, for diverting more than 32 million pesos; He had accomplices.
Mexico City, November 11 (However).– The former director of the Administrative Court of Justice of the State of Mexico (Trijaem) was arrested by the Mexican Prosecutor’s Office for alleged abuse of confidence in it diversion of more than 32 million pesos of the treasurya crime that he would have committed in complicity with other people, the authorities reported this Tuesday.
“Elements of the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office arrested Tomás ‘N’, former director of Administration of the Administrative Justice Court of the State of Mexico. An arrest warrant was issued for his probable intervention in the crime of abuse of trust, to the detriment of the aforementioned autonomous body,” the state agency said in a message on social networks.
Tomás “N” allegedly made, in collaboration with other subjects, bank transfers for an amount of 32 million 482 thousand 330 pesos and 09 cents, “sending said resources to various recipients through the use of electronic devices with which he managed the Trijaem bank account, according to the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office. “To do so, he would have taken advantage of the trust and responsibilities inherent to his position,” he detailed.

The Mexican Prosecutor’s Office also indicated that the investigations are continuing.
At the end of August, the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office had already arrested Omar “N”, 36 years old, a public servant of the Administrative Justice Court of the State of Mexico, for his probable intervention in the crime of abuse of trust, to the detriment of said autonomous body.
“According to the investigation, the events occurred on December 1, 2023, when the accused, in his capacity as Head of the Financial Services Department of TRIJAEM, allegedly took advantage of the trust and responsibilities inherent to his position to try to make bank transfers for the amount of 32 million 482 thousand pesos”, the same case as that of the detainee this Tuesday.

Edomex Administrative Justice Court will cooperate with authorities
The Trijaem, for its part, indicated in a statement that, in light of the capture of Tomás “N”, the Administrative Justice Court “reiterates its firm and irrevocable commitment to legality, transparency and full respect for the rule of law.”
“The Presidency of the Court indicates that, in accordance with the constitutional and legal mandate that governs its actions, it will maintain punctual and committed collaboration with the competent authorities so that this matter is fully clarified,” he said.
The Edomex Administrative Justice Court emphasized that said collaboration “will occur as before, with impartial actions, institutional rigor and WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTION, ensuring at all times due process, as well as unrestricted respect for legally empowered bodies.”

In turn, the Court committed to continue implementing the necessary control, supervision and accountability mechanisms to guarantee that the public resources under its custody are administered responsibly and effectively, and called on citizens and the media to stay informed through official institutional channels, in order to avoid the dissemination of inaccurate information and strengthen trust in verified sources.
Finally, the Presidency of the Administrative Justice Court of Edomex indicated that “it will refrain from issuing public statements related to the case, with respect to the work of the Prosecutor’s Office, the competent authorities and due process, thus reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, institutional responsibility and the principles that govern our legal system.”
The Trijaem reaffirmed in its message that all public servants or former public servants, without any distinction, are subject to the current legal framework and called upon to conduct themselves with integrity and responsibility. “The institution reiterates its permanent commitment to ethics, transparency and strengthening citizen confidence in administrative justice,” he concluded.
