Infarmed orders immediate suspension of sales and withdrawal of cosmetics for skin rejuvenation

Infarmed ordered the “immediate suspension of marketing and withdrawal from the market” of the cosmetic product “DIVES MED / Glow X9 Biorevitalization Peel 4ml”. The medicine authority justified the decision by the fact that the skin rejuvenation product contains a prohibited ingredient in its composition.

Numa information circularInfarmed reported that, “following a complaint”, it found that the cosmetic “contains in its composition the ingredient ‘phenol’ whose use is prohibited in cosmetic products”.

The medicine authority says that the claims associated with this product do not comply with the provisions of the European Union Regulation applicable to cosmetic products.

In this sense, Infarmed determined that entities that have this product “should not make it available or use it” and that to obtain additional information, the companies Asas Arrojadas Unip. Ltd. or DivesMed Portugal

“Consumers who have the aforementioned product in their possession must refrain from using it”, Infarmed also determined.
