To close the Saturday league match, the Tigres of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León managed to overcome the 3-0 aggregate score of the first leg and eliminated Sebastián Abreu’s Xolos de Tijuana.
At the Universitario Stadium, led by Guido Pizarro, they beat Tijuana with five scores, leaving the overall score at 5-3 that defined a new semi-finalist.

Argentine striker Nicolás Ibáñez scored 1-0 by heading, in the 15th minute, a cross launched by Jesús Garza from the right side.
For his part, Domingo Blanco, Tijuana’s Argentine midfielder, conceded a penalty with a foul in the area and his compatriot Juan Brunetta took the punishment to make it 2-0, in the 30th minute.
Likewise, nine minutes later, Brunetta made it 3-0 with a header, thanks to an assist from Ibáñez.

After missing a penalty at minute 67, already in the second half, Ozziel Herrera made it 4-0 with a header in the six-yard box and with a Xolos already resigned, Juan Pablo Vigón sealed the 5-0 with a popcorn in minute 90+3, compensation time.
For Sunday’s matches, the last of the quarterfinal round, Guadalajara will visit the Olympic University stadium with the obligation to beat Cruz Azul.
