The Ukrainian president said: “Today, Russia hit a passenger train in the Kharkiv region with attack drones.

“In any country, a drone attack on a civilian train would be considered the same – purely as an act of terrorism.”

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba called the attack a “direct act of Russian terror”.

Russia also attacked the southern city of Odessa on Monday night – killing at least three people and injuring 25 others.

It comes as Mad Vlad continues to wage his merciless war on Ukraine – showing no interest in peace despite acrimonious negotiations last week.

The Russian tyrant has stepped up its drone and missile attacks – especially targeted ones energy infrastructure like Ukraine is fighting a particularly harsh winter.

Millions of people were left without electricity, gas or hot water due to inhuman attacks – as the country faces freezing temperatures below zero.

Diplomats from the USA, Ukraine and Russia met in Abu Dhabi last weekend for talks – but failed to achieve a breakthrough.

Despite this, the US plan to guarantee Ukraine’s security is “100 percent” ready for signature, Zelenskyy says.

The Ukrainian leader said on Monday that he was waiting for a time and place to sign the US documents, which would be a significant step towards ending Putin’s bloody war.

Zelenskyy said: “For us, security guarantees are primarily security guarantees from the United States.”

“The document is 100 percent ready and we are waiting for our partners to confirm the date and place for us to sign it.”

Moscow launched a ferocious overnight attack immediately after the talks ended, killing at least one person and leaving millions without power.

Countless civilians who targeted central heating and power grids were left without heat amid the sub-zero freezing temperatures.

Putin launched over 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types, Zelenskyy said.

On Friday and Saturday, representatives of the United Arab Emirates met for peace talks, with US officials suggesting a summit between the two leaders could now be on the agenda after discussions went “better than expected”.

The Kremlin said the talks were held in a “constructive spirit” but that there was still “a lot of work ahead”.

“It would be a mistake to expect any significant results from the initial contacts… But the very fact that these contacts began in a constructive spirit can be viewed positively. However, significant work awaits us,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The Russian delegation was led by Putin’s trusted GRU military intelligence chief, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.

Ukraine was represented by Zelenskyi’s Chief of General Staff Kyrylo Budanov, former head of Kyiv’s GUR military intelligence.

The US team included Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Russian and Ukrainian negotiators are known to have last met face to face in Istanbul summerin talks that ended only in agreements on the exchange of captured soldiers.

The meeting in Abu Dhabi was the first time they met to discuss Trump’s plan.

Ukraine’s Donbas region remains the main obstacle to any breakthrough in peace talks.

Zelenskyi has repeatedly said that he will not give up his territory, warning that it could become a springboard future Russian attacks.

Donbas is the industrial heartland of Ukraine and is rich in strategic minerals including lithium, uranium, titanium and rare earths.

Meanwhile, Putin has made it clear that he wants the entire region, which Ukraine still partially controls and has been defending with heavy military losses since the start of the all-out invasion.

A US-backed proposal would allow the region to be turned into a demilitarized free economic zone in exchange for security guarantees for Ukraine, but Moscow is widely expected to reject the idea.
