Audi Increases Profit by 10.2% in 2025 with Electric Vehicles on the Rise

Audi, which belongs to the Volkswagen group, recorded a net profit of 4,617 million euros in 2025, 10.2% more than in 2024, following the improvement in its financial result.

Audi reported this Tuesday, the 13th, that it had revenues of 65.503 million euros last year, an increase of 1.5% compared to 2024, thanks to electric vehicles and sales of Terramar models from the Spanish brand Cupra.

The profitability margin on sales decreased to 5.1% (6% in 2024).

According to the brand, operating profit fell in the last financial year to 3,371 million euros, 13.6% less than in 2024, due to the payment of customs duties to the United States of America (USA) in the amount of 1,200 million euros and provisions of 400 million euros for the regulation of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions and restructuring expenses.

Furthermore, the brand faced strong competition in China, where there is a price war on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Car deliveries for the Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini brands fell to 1,644,429 units, a 2.8% drop from the previous year.

Audi brand electric vehicles achieved record delivery numbers last year, with 223,032 units, up 36%.

Audi Executive Chairman (CEO) Gernot Döllner stated that “in 2025, Audi has taken courageous steps and responded to current challenges.”

“Geopolitical uncertainties and pressure from global competition kept the automotive sector in suspense last year,” added the CEO.

Audi will reduce, by the end of 2027 and without forced layoffs, 6,000 of the 7,500 agreed jobs, forecasting revenues of between 63,000 and 68,000 million euros this year and an operational profitability on sales of between 6% and 8%.
