North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited a munitions factory on Wednesday (March 11) along with his teenage daughter, Kim Ju-ae, both testing new pistols.
The information was released this Thursday (March 12) by the state news agency KCNA, which released photos showing Kim Jong-un walking through the facilities.
During the visit, Kim oversaw the production of firearms and called for the modernization of the process, according to KCNA.
After testing the gun at the shooting range, Kim rated it “excellent.” Regarding the factory, he said that it “plays a very important role in increasing the army’s combat efficiency.”
The agency did not mention Kim Ju-ae’s presence, but she also appears in the photographs firing a pistol alongside senior military officers. Just like his father, he wore a black fur coat.
There has been speculation that Kim Jong-un’s daughter is being groomed to succeed him.
