The CGTP denounced this Thursday, April 16, what it calls a “simulacrum” of negotiation of labor legislation, indicating that the minister met with employer and UGT leaders before the Social Concertation meeting began, leaving the union central out.
Official source from the trade union center led by Tiago Oliveira states that “the simulacrum of negotiation with CGTP continues”, noting that the Minister of Labor was “meeting with employer and UGT leaders”, leaving the trade union center “waiting”.
The meeting of the Permanent Committee for Social Coordination was scheduled to start at 3pm, but it only started around half an hour later.
Contacted by Lusa, an official source from the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, declined to comment, sending clarifications to the press conference after the Social Concertation meeting.
