Daily candidate for 7 months for the game “Les 12 Coups de Midi” on TF1, Cyprien chose to leave after 212 participations. He wishes to resume his studies in classical music.
Cyprien’s announced departure from the game “Les 12 Coups de Midi” with Jean-Luc Reichmann on TF1 was broadcast this Sunday noon. Daily candidate for seven months, he decided to leave after 212 participations. He leaves with 861,337 euros in winnings, in money and gifts.
An unexpected departure in full glory. Cyprien Fohr, aged 22, wishes to continue his studies. “I always knew what I wanted to do: classical music, becoming a conductor,” so leaving the game is “the solution most faithful to my principles,” he explained. Cyprien is a master’s student in musicology at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris.
Under the eyes of his mother who accompanied him, he was very moved by the tributes prepared for this occasion, in particular that of the “voice-over” of the show.
“I thought it would be fun to try my luck”
What will Cyprien do with all this money? “I’m going to take the time to think about it,” he replies wisely. He leaves without regrets: “It’s a show that I watched when I was 7 or 8 years old. One evening, I said to myself that it would be fun to try my luck,” he relates. And “I was very lucky.” He replaced a candidate at short notice because he was available the next day for recording.
The candidate Emilien record holder of the game
This is the second time since its launch in 2010 that a player has voluntarily left the program hosted by Jean-Luc Reichmann, where candidates must answer general knowledge questions. The Toulouse candidate Emilien, who occupies the first step of the podium, was eliminated last July after 21 months, 647 participations and 2.5 million euros in winnings. He is the biggest winner in the history of TV games in France to date.
