Magnitude 7.4 earthquake hits Japan. Tsunami warning issued

An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck this Monday, April 20, the northeast coast of Japan, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported, and a tsunami warning was issued,

The Japanese meteorological service, cited by Reuters, indicated that the earthquake had its epicenter in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 10 kilometers.

A tsunami warning was issued, indicating the possibility of waves up to three meters high in the areas of Iwate, Aomori and Hokkaido.
